Equipment Trial Terms and Conditions

  1. Trial Availability Trials are available for approved products only. The following categories are only available for trial at our premises.
    • Low-Cost Assistive Technology products (items under $1,500 in value);
    • Hire products;
    • Bulky items such as adjustable beds, may be considered for in-home trials strictly on a case-by-case basis.

  2. Care and Responsibility The customer is fully responsible for the care, safe operation, and security of all trial equipment during the trial period.

  3. Loss, Theft, or Irreparable Damage If the equipment is lost, stolen, destroyed, or damaged beyond repair, the customer is liable for the full replacement cost based on the current recommended retail price (RRP).

  4. Repairable Damage If the equipment sustains damage that can be repaired, the customer is liable for all repair costs, including genuine replacement parts and reasonable labour, required to restore the item to a safe and functional condition.

  5. Safe Operation and Supervision Customers must operate trial equipment safely, follow all instructions provided, and only use equipment in suitable environments (e.g. not on roads, steep gradients, or in unsafe conditions). Trials of powered equipment may only be conducted by customers who demonstrate the ability to operate the equipment safely. Where trials are conducted with a staff member present, the customer must follow staff directions at all times. Where trials occur without direct staff supervision, the customer accepts sole risk.

  6. Damage to Property or Injury to Others The customer is responsible for any damage to property or injury to third parties arising from the use of trial equipment, including powered devices such as mobility scooters and electric wheelchairs.

  7. Indemnity and Insurance Disclaimer The customer indemnifies the company against all claims, losses, or expenses arising from their use of trial equipment. The company does not provide insurance for customers, their property, or third parties during trials.

  8. Right to Refuse or Terminate Trial The company may refuse or terminate a product trial at its discretion if, in its reasonable opinion, the customer is not able to operate the equipment safely or is using it in an unsuitable environment.

  9. Exclusion of Liability The company accepts no liability for personal injury, property damage, or consequential loss arising from the customer’s use of trial equipment. Responsibility rests solely with the customer.
