Carers are at high risk of injuries related to lifting and manoeuvring of patients. We have a selection of hoists and slings that provide a safer approach to patient handling whereby the manual lifting of a patient is eliminated, wherever possible. This will provide improved outcomes for both the patient and the carer as it reduces the risk of injury to both parties and reduces the likelihood of carer burnout.
There are a range of different hoists to choose from, including Yoke, Pivot, Standing, Combination, and Celing Hoists. If you are unsure of what type of hoist will be best for your circumstances, it is best to speak with a qualified Occupational Therapist who will be able to provide an appropriate recommendation for your circumstances on the type of hoist and sling that may be required.
