Description

The AirTec range of alternating air systems provide advanced clinical benefits in pressure redistribution and in the treatment of pressure injuries, while offering excellent user comfort and support. When choosing which system to use it is important to select the most appropriate system based on the assessed needs of the patient/user and matching these needs up with the features and benefits of each system being considered.

The AirTec 8 is an 8″ (20cm) King single bed, full mattress replacement system that provides comfortable and cost-effective pressure care for users who are assessed as at risk of developing a pressure injury, or those who may have already developed a pressure injury.

The AirTec 8 does not require a mattress or underlay underneath it and can be placed directly onto the bed frame, Using our cell-in-cell design, the internal static air cell remains fully inflated to reduce the risk of bottoming out and remove the need for a supporting mattress, which in turn gives the user a lower bed surface height making the AirTec 8 suitable in Falls Risk situations.

The AirTec 8 has a continuous 1-in-2 (A + B) cell alternation cycle and is ideal for both prevention and resolution of pressure injuries, The AirTec 8 can be used by those who are assessed as low-risk through to high-risk and, when used in conjunction with appropriate clinical care, the AirTec 8 can be used in the management of pressure care needs up to stage 4.

The AirTec 8 is suitable for use in Aged Care, Acute Care, Home Care and Disability Services.
